Here’s Impact in case you missed it:
From The Cox Business Center Arena in Tulsa, Oklahoma:
Hosted by “The Professor” Mike Tenay and Taz.
This “go home show” begins with TNA President Dixie Carter comparing what she believes will happen to “The Phenomenal” A.J. Styles this Sunday at Bound For Glory, to Michelangelo (not the star of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles) finishing the Sistine Chapel. She stated that he and TNA World Heavyweight Champion Bully Ray will sign a contract for their match, and placed a $50,000 bounty on A.J., in an effort to replace him as Bully’s opponent. Bully and Brooke Tessmacher appeared as he stated that he didn’t care who he had to face. Magnus appeared, disgusted with Dixie’s decision and told Bully “I’ll fight you tonight for free!” Bully labeled him a “fraud, smoke and mirrors” and “a chiseled pretty boy”.
Magnus knocked him out, and Bully accepted the challenge!!!
1. A FOUR CORNERS MATCH: Hernandez vs. Robbie E vs. Christopher Daniels vs. Eric Young.
THE WINNER: ROBBIE E.
Jesse Godderz tried to claim the bounty on A.J., but failed
A.J. arrived and stated Dixie reeked of desperation in the wake of the bounty that was placed on him. He vowed that he will win back the TNA World title and said, “I will make you beg!”. After that, Mike Knox and Garett Bischoff decided to collect, and were run out of the ring by TNA World Tag Team Champions Gunner and “Cowboy” James Storm.
2. Mike Knox with Garett Bischoff vs. TNA World Tag Team Champion Gunner with TNA World Tag Team Champion “Cowboy” James Storm.
THE WINNER: GUNNER!!!
Chris Sabin wanted to collect the bounty, but was stopped by an infuriated Samoa Joe
3. Chris Sabin with Velvet Sky vs. Samoa Joe.
THE WINNER: SAMOA JOE!!!
4. A NON-TITLE MAIN EVENT: Magnus vs. TNA World Heavyweight Champion Bully Ray with Brooke Tessmacher.
THE WINNER: BULLY RAY.
Kurt Angle was furious from EGO (Christopher Daniels, Kazarian and Bobby Roode mocking his induction into the TNA Hall of Fame, which will happen this Saturday. Roode appeared, proclaimed himself the future of wrestling, and vowed that he will defeat him on Sunday and punched him. Kurt tried to put him in the Ankle Lock, but was assaulted by Bad Influence and put in the crossface by Roode.
A.J. and Bully signed the contract for Sunday, and it erupted in violence.
ANALYSIS: A $50,000 bounty on A.J. Styles. Something told me that Dixie Carter’s ego harmed this week’s broadcast.
Next week, TNA Impact Wrestling will be at The Maverik Arena in Salt Lake City, Utah.
